He passed away on 31 May 1846 in Clinton Co., Ohio. Burial details are unknown.

In the cited Hopewell MM that outlines Isaac and Mary's family, there are some missing commas making it difficult to know whether it's referring to one son named "Samuel Abner" or two sons named "Samuel" and "Abner" respectively.
