Mary Holloway was born about 1731 in either Spotsylvania or Caroline County, Virginia. The specific location is difficult to pin down due to county formation history and her father's movements. The birth date is an estimate. Mary was the daughter of John Holloway and Hannah Spiers.
Mary married a close neighbor, Jonas Meador Jr., about 1750 in Cumberland County, Virginia. Her father had moved there in 1745.
Sister of Jane who married John Meador in 1755, also of James Holloway, who married Frances Meador, brother and sister of her husband Jonas Meador [1]
Mary was last found when she was examined in court and relinquished dower on a deed from Jonas Meador to Daniel Boatwright on 26 September 1768. [2] This also appears in Court Order Book of the same date. [3] Mary died sometime after this 26 September 1768 but prior to the death of Jonas Meador in October 1773. [4]
