Hindes was the son of James Holloway and Hannah (Unknown). He was born 2 Jun 1754 in York, Virginia ^[1].

Research Notes

His mother's maiden name is presumed to be Hindes given the rarity of his first name. He is listed as the son of "James Jun and Hannah". This couple hasn't been identified as this James is ambiguous within the Charles Parish registry. His father is presumed to have been a descendant of George Holloway III (abt.1660-1714) in other online trees.

This profile previously claimed Hindes to be the son of James Holloway (1711-1786) and Elizabeth which disagrees with the Charles Parish registry.
