Biography
Son Robert (aged 94 at time of interview) believes Florence had a sister Blanche. Her father was a medical doctor from the greater Pittsburgh area who may have died during the Influenza Pandemic of 1917-1919? Found Florence R. Holman from death information for Dorothy (died 2003) Akins Beyerstedt. Have since located a Dr. Albert Holman (born 1853 died 1917) of Franklin Township, Alleghany County Pennsylvania with three children - one of whom was Florence R Holman. Butler County makes sense since this is where Arthur would have met her considering people did not travel as widely back then.

From Florence's obituary (see below) she was a member of the Athenian Club of Bayonne and the First Presbyterian Church of Cranford. Need to explore these agencies for more information.

Need to find the US Census 1940 record - supposedly it lists the then home address as Arthur W Akins was a man born in 1889 Pennsylvania. During the 1940 US Census he was 51 years old, married to Florence Akins and lived in 89 West 41st St Bayonne, Hudson, New Jersey. He appears as the HEAD of his house in the 1940 US Census.
