Biography
Mary was born about 1820. She appears in the 1870 census at age 50 in the home of her daughter Eliza Roy and son-in-law Abram Roy. [1] She appears as Mary Ann Brooks in the 1880 census, now in Issaquena, Mississippi, with husband Isaac Brooks. It is noted that her parents were both born in Virginia. [2]
