I was browsing the list of Holmes profiles and noticed that there seem to be two profiles in your name – Holmes-4509 and Holmes-4372. Possibly you had an account and forgot the password or created a new account for some other reason.
If this is the case, please could you contact info (at) wikitree to deactivate one of the accounts and seek advice about migrating profiles.
Kind regards and many thanks.
I'm a member of the Holmes One Name Study. Would you be interested in helping with it? I also have an interest in genetic genealogy and am searching for other male Holmes to test their y-dna in the hopes of finding a common male ancestor. Let me know if you are interested.
Take care, Ryan Holmes
Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful. Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies. If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free-Space Profiles. Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a Unresponsive Profile Managers for resolving those unfortunate situations. If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page. Shayne ~ WikiTree Mentor
Thank you for your decision to contribute. WikiTreers have all sorts of skills, but one common interest - genealogy. I would recommend first looking around and become familiar with the various functions.
The main menu, located at the top right of the page, offers access to the most important features amongst them your Wiki-ID. In the help section »G2G« at the bottom, youll find the WikiTree online help. You can ask all sorts of questions, technical and others, and because WikiTree is worldwide, there is almost always someone online, who can give a qualified answer. Good luck! - And don't forget to sign the Honor Code. Pleasure to have you onboard.
