Biography

"Caroline Hiatt (born Holmes), 1837-1922 Caroline Hiatt (born Holmes) was born on month day 1837, at birth place, Ohio, to Gilbert Holmes and Anna B. Holms (born Hussey). Gilbert was born on August 24 1814, in Forked River, Ocean County, NJ. Anna was born on June 11 1813, in OH. Caroline had 4 sisters: Mary J. Edwards (born Holms) and 3 other siblings.

Caroline married Thomas Hiatt. Thomas was born in March 1835.

Caroline passed away on month day 1922, at age 85 at death place, Ohio. She was buried at burial place, Ohio."

Caroline was born in 1837. She was the daughter of Gilbert Holmes and Anna Hussey. She passed away in 1922.

Research Notes

The Findagrave memorial and headstone, as well as her death certificate, list her birth date as 1837. The 1850 Census lists her age as 13, which puts her birth closer to 1837.
