Biography
Maria Holmes was born about 1784 in County Dublin, Ireland.
Maria married William Figgis about 1806. They had twelve children:
- Jane Esther (1807-1902); married surname Wilson; migrated to Victoria (Australia)

- Samuel (c1812-79); migrated to Victoria (Australia)

Aged 89 years, and having been widowed for 22 years, Maria passed away on 26th November 1873 in Hackney, Middlesex. She was then living at 12 King Edward Road, South Hackney. [1]
