Lemuel, son of Joseph and Rebecca (Waterman) Holmes, was born in Kingston, MA on February 11, 1742.
In 1757, above the age of 14 years, Lemuel made the choice for Samuel Waterman of Halifax to be his guardian.[1]
He died there before June 4, 1770, the probate date.
He is buried at Old Burying Ground in Kingston.
Probate
Lemuel Holmes of Kingston, yeoman died intestate and on 4 June 1770, Jonathan Holmes of Kingston was granted the administration of his estate. His inventory was taken on 10 July 1770 in Kingston.[2]

Kingston VR's state Lemuel died April 6, 1771 in 20th year. He would of been 29 years of age if he had died in 1771. To further complicate the issue, the estate inventory was dated July 10, 1770.
