Biography

Daniel Edward Holmes, son of John Milton Holmes and Sarah J. "Sallie" McMahan, was born on 25 Dec. 1854 at Georgia, USA.^[1] He appeared on the census of 12 July 1860 in the home of his parents at Fairmount, Gordon County, Georgia.^[2]

He married Nancy Alice Cox^[1] about 1874.^[3]

He and Nancy appeared on the census of 20 June 1900 at Cross Roads, Pickens County, Georgia. They were living next to Nancy's mother.^[3]

Daniel died on 2 Dec. 1914 and was buried at East Damascus Cemetery, Fairmount, Gordon County, Georgia. His memorial has photos and links to those of family members. ^[1]
