  • Note from Homer Lee

My name is Homer Lee and I live in Pickett county. I am descended thru my mother. I have lived here all my life except for 22yrs I spent in the military. James Holt's mother was Nancy Holt. The story that has been handed down to me is that she (Nancy) got pregnant out of wedlock. She and her father were having a fuss and she stole his money and left during the night and came to the Ill Will community of Clinton county Ky. and bought a farm of 250 acres and homesteaded another 250 acres. That is where she had James. Ill Will is on the line between Ky and Tn. I am told she had another child a daughter named Nancy. This has caused some confusion over the years. People get the mother and daughter mixed up. Jacob is my great great grandfather. His nephew Phillip the son of Isaac (who is my GG grandfather) married Leona Holt the daughter of Jacob, they were 1st cousins. I don't do Facebook. I guess I am stubborn.
