Isaac Holt was born on January 21, 1764, in Andover, Massachusetts, to Abigail Blanchard, age 29, and Samuel Holt, age 33. Isaac Holt married (Martha) Tabitha Blunt in Andover, Massachusetts, on December 6, 1789, when he was 25 years old. Isaac Holt died on July 25, 1843, in Andover, Massachusetts, when he was 79 years old.
Isaac inherited his father Samuel’s homestead in Andover, bequeathed to him in Samuel’s will. This homestead in the historic property at 173 Holt Road.[1] He was a farmer and a cooper.

In his will written 21 March 1843 (probate 15 August 1843), Isaac Holt bequeathed sixty dollars to daughter Persis and forty dollars to daughter Mehitable. Persis and Mehitable have use and improvement of the east chamber while they are unmarried. As daughter Mary has mental debility and is unable to care for herself, she is to be supported comfortably from the estate. Son Isaac receives twenty-five dollars; Larkin, fifty dollars; Samuel, one hundred dollars; son Warren, one hundred dollars; and James Harvey, twenty-five dollars. Son Jonas receives the great bible. The remainder of the estate goes to son Jonas who is also named executor.[2]
Isaac Holt and Tabitha Blunt were parents of eleven children born at Andover.

x WARREN HOLT, b. 19 Aug 1807; d. at Montclair, NJ, 9 Jun 1893; m. 1st at Bloomfield, NJ, 16 Apr 1835, LUCINDA BALDWIN, b. 1809 daughter of Caleb and Mary (Dodd) Baldwin; Lucinda d. at Bloomfield, 2 Jul 1842. Warren m. 2nd SARAH ELIZABETH PARKHURST, b. 1826 daughter of Stephen Rawson and Thankful (Legg) Parkhurst;[5] Sarah Elizabeth d. at Orange, NJ, 16 Mar 1903. Warren was a teacher and surveyor. He was a surveyor in California for the Pacific Railroad and taught math at Oakland College. He opened the Mt. Prospect Institute in New Jersey in 1835.[6]
xi JAMES HARVEY HOLT, b. 31 Oct 1809; d. at San Francisco, CA, 20 Dec 1854;[7] m. 1st at Bangor, ME, 19 Aug 1843, CORDELIA CURTIS. James m. 2nd at Bangor, 27 Jun 1848, MARY STAPLES, b. about 1821. James was a teamster. In 1850, he resided in Bangor with his wife Mary. There were daughters in the home: Angeline about aged 9 years and Delia aged one month.[8] On 1860, Delia A. Holt aged 10 years and Mary Staples aged 39 years were living in Brewer, Maine.[9]
