Biography

Birth

Joseph Holt, son of Joseph Holt (1655-1697) and Elizabeth French (1664-1739), was born 10 Jun 1685, in Wallingford, New Haven Co., Connecticut[1][2]

Marriages

Joseph and the mother of his children, Abigail Curtis, were married 8 Jun 1709 in Wallingford. Abigail, daughter of Thomas and Mary (Merriman) Curtis, was born Nov 1689 and d. 12 Jan 1730, both in Wallingford.[1][2]

After the death of Abigail, Joseph remarried, in Wallingford, 13 July 1730 to Mary (Benedict) Royce, widow of Isaac Royce. Mary died 10 Feb 1748.[1][2]

Joseph married a third time, 25 July 1749, Wallingford, to Mary Roberts, who d. 10 Sep 1761 in Wallingford.[1][2]

9 Feb 1762, Wallingford Joseph married, at the age of 76, Elizabeth Merwin. Elizabeth _______ was the widow of Barnabas Lewis and Daniel Merwin (d. 1766).[1][3]

Death

Joseph died 2 Jun 1767 in Wallingford in the 82nd year of his age[2][1]

Holt-1031 and Holt-4135 appear to represent the same person because: Same DPOB, and second marriage fits date-wise.
