Biography

Jonathan Holt was born to Nehemiah and Anna (Farnham) Holt at Windham, Connecticut on 20 August 1750. He died at Windham on 1 July 1754, not quite 4 years old, the first of the family to succumb to the "malignant dysentery" which claimed the lives of all five of Nehemiah and Anna's children in a period of just over two months. Jonathan's 2 year old sister Sarah would die in August, his 5 year old brother Eliphalet on 4 September, and both his oldest brother, Nehemiah, not quite 8, and his youngest brother Nathaniel, barely 6 months old, on 8 September, 1754.
