Margaret was the daughter of Michael Holt and his first wife, Margaret O'Neill. She was mentioned in his will of 23 Jan 1790, which was probated in 1799 in Orange County, North Carolina. In it he left $10 to his daughter, "Margaret Powell". She had married Ambrose Powell.
She is buried in Maury County, Tennessee.[1]
