He was noted as a farmer and born May 1841 in Georgia. He had been married eleven years and was an owner as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Louisa F Holt, son Otis J Holt, mother-in-law Susan Cochran, daughter Aoma Holt, daughter Ida L Holt and son George W Holt.[6]
He died on June 7, 1920 in Clayton, Georgia, United States. [7]
