Johann Friedrich got married, at the age of 27 (first source) or 28 (second source) years, to Wilhelmine Wendt.
Note that in the 2 sources his surname and that of his father are recorded as "Holz". (The pronunciation of "Holz" and "Holtz" is identical in the german language.)
The couple went to live in the village of Kuhhorst, near Dechtow (now part of Fehrbellin).
According to the third source, the son August Wilhem Johann Holtz was the 4th child of this couple.
