Biography

John was born in 1854, the son of Frederick Styrus Honaker and Mary Jane Toothman. He married Mary V. Morgan on November 11, 1891 at Irish Corner, West Virginia, and their children included: Arthur L. Honaker, Clara Edith Honaker Shanklin, Edward William Honaker, Viola Jane Honaker Reynolds, Irene A. Honaker, Raymond E. Honaker, Madalyn Honaker Lassiter. John Honaker, aged 76 years, 9 months and 18 days, died on January 20, 1931 at White Sulpher Springs, West Virginia of a cerebral hemorrhage at 6 a.m. He was a farm laborer. He was buried at Honaker Cemetery, Caldwell, Greenbrier County, West Virginia.^[1]
