Original monuments erected June 1939 at Vancouver, Washington and Blaine, Washington

This Jefferson Davis Highway Monument erected in 1998 using the original stone monuments. Tile memorial plaques honoring over 125 individual war veterans are laid at the base of the Vancouver Monument.

He moved to Georgia after marrying Talitha. It is believed he moved to Ellijay, Georgia before 1860. He appears on the 1850 Census in McDowell County, North Carolina and the 1860 Census in Gilmer County, Georgia. He died in Richmond of a relapse of measles while serving in the Confederate Army. He was a Sergeant.
