Nathaniel Hood Jr. was likely born in 1707 or later as his parents, Nathaniel Hood and Joanna Dwinnell, were married October 16, 1706 at Topsfield, Essex County. He married Abigail Potter on November 13, 1735 also at Topsfield[1]
Nathaniel was, according to probate papers for his estate, a resident of Marblehead, Essex County at the time of his death (June 8, 1755). His wife, Abigail was the executor of his estate.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Nathan by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Nathan:
Hood-231 and Hood-210 do not represent the same person because: Nathan and Nathaniel were brothers and are not the same person. These profiles should not be merged. Citing profiles from Geni, especially when it copies info from WikiTree profiles is not an acceptable source.
There is clearly a problem here somewhere. Nathan and Nathaniel both have the same birthday, but apparently different death dates. I wouldn't reject the merge out of hand, but some work needs to be done to clarify the situation.
I'm not convinced the birth dates are correct. According to the Jennie (Hood) Bosson document, John Hood of Lynn Massachusetts and some of his descendants, pub. 1909, they were two separate people. She does not provide birth dates for either. Nathan was married twice and had 13 or 14 children and Nathaniel was only married once and had eight children. I'll try and share a screen shot of the page later today.

Can you please merge?
