Biography

John was born in 1800. He was the son of John Hook and Rebecca Cochran. He passed away in 1855.

When John Hook was born in September 1800, in Beaver Falls, Beaver, Pennsylvania, United States, his father, John I Hook, was 29 and his mother, Rebecca Cochran, was 24. He married Lucretia Wood before 1822. They were the parents of at least 7 sons and 7 daughters. He lived in Breckinridge, Kentucky, United States in 1850 and Campbell, Kentucky, United States in 1854. In 1832, at the age of 34, his occupation is listed as river man in Cleveland, North Carolina, United States. He died on 23 January 1855, in Stephensport, Breckinridge, Kentucky, United States, at the age of 54, and was buried in Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Garfield, Breckinridge, Kentucky, United States.
