William George Hooker was born on 14 Feb 1851 in West Peckham, Kent, England, United Kingdom.^[1] His parents were Stephen Hooker and Harriet Simmonds. William was baptised at St. Dunstan's church, West Peckham on 5 Dec 1852.^[1]

William married Mary Ann Honey in the Malling registration district in the later months of 1874.^[2]
