Biography

Samuel Hooker and Mercy Leete were married January 9, 1711, Farmington, CT.

They had nine known children: Andrew, Eizabeth, Mercy, Mehitabel, Sybil, Samuel, Anne, Esther, and Thomas.

Following Mercy's death, Samuel married the widow Mary (Elliot) Pierson. They had no children.

On hearing of the death of his younger brother, Giles Hooker (aged 97), Samuel Hooker fell back in his chair and expired at age 99, March 1, 1787.
