Catherine married Thomas L. Farthing on 4 February 1842 in Crawford, Ohio, United States.[3] In the 1850 census Catharine (age 28) was in Marseilles, Wyandot, Ohio, United States. It was here where she started having her children.[4][5]

Catherine died on December 27, 1879 at the age of 57, and was buried at the Antioch Cemetery in Centralia, Marion, Illinois, United States.[7][1]
