Biography

Spicer was born in 1833 in Vermont, in the community of Goshen, Addison county according to an 1893 book of transcribed Perrysburg biographies of its citizens.[1] He was the son of Jacob Hooker and Doris Fyfe.

He was on the 1850 Perrysburg, Cattaraugus, New York census with his parents and siblings.[2]

Spicer married Elizabeth Cadwell sometime between 1855 and 1857. They had seven children.

Spicer and Elizabeth lived initially in Perrysburg, Cattaraugus, New York in 1860.[3] In 1865, they were living in the community of Cherry Creek in Chautauqua county, New York.[4]

They moved to Dayton, Cattaraugus county, New York where they were on the 1870, 1875, 1880, 1892, 1900, and 1910 censuses.[5][6][7][8][9][10]

He passed away in 1918 and was buried in Cottage cemetery in Dayton, Cattaraugus, New York. [11]
