The Milton Brown family eventually made their way to Towns County, Georgia, where Keziah Hooper Brown died 23 August 1889. Her death was recorded in the annual minutes of the Toccoa Primitive Baptist Church Association as follows: “Sister Kizy Brown departed this life August 23, 1889, age about 94 years. She lived a member of the church about 60 years.”[2] She is buried in Many Forks Cemetery, Towns County, Georgia.[3]
