Biography
Edward Chastain "Ned" Hooper was born February 20, 1818, in what is now Jackson County, North Carolina, to John Chastain (c.1791-1800) and Mary "Polly" Hooper (c.1800-1889). He married Theresa Kitchens. July 7, 1885, in Jackson County, North Carolina, and is buried in the Hooper Cemetery, Caney Fork, Jackson County, North Carolina.[1]
Notes
He was a grandson of Absalom Hooper and Sarah Salers. They raised him, but they were not his parents.
