Obituary

Mrs. Mary Ellen Clapper, wife of Samuel Clapper, died at her home in Carson valley at 6:45 o'clock Friday evening of a complication of diseases after a long illness. Deceased was born on May 26, 1867. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren and is survived by her husband and these children: Mrs. John R. Grove and Mrs. Eli Walters, of Duncansville; Mrs. Jesse McIlnay, of Roaring Spring; Mrs. Clarence Shiffler, of Lakemont and Leora, James, Ruth, Edna, David and Russell, at home. She is also survived by these brothers and sister, Levi and Jacob Hoover of Carson valley; John Hoover, of Johnstown; Blair Hoover, of Miami, Tex.; Mrs. Jennie Diehl, of Cumberland county, and Mrs. Edward Weyandt, of Duncansville. The funeral will take place this morning, services at 10:30 o'clock in Carson Valley church. Interment in Carson Valley cemetery.
