Biography
Becky Jane Hopkins was the fifth of six daughters born to Neale Irving Hopkins (Saturday, August 8, 1925 - Sunday, May 1, 1988) and Shirley Mae Troman Hopkins (Thursday, April 15, 1925 - Monday, May 13, 2013) on Monday, April 5, 1954. She lived only eighty-eight days until Friday, July 2, 1954. According to coroner Warren W. Wood's statements on her death certificate she died at home, 4528 Loves Road, Millcreek Township, Erie County, from aspiration pneumonia (defined as inhaling foreign matter) at 2:00 a.m. Her death seemed to be an example of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (S.I.D.S.). Both parents were overcome by grief at services the next day, Saturday, June 3, 1954, at the Warren W. Wood Funeral Home, 139 West 21st Street, Erie, and interment at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Millcreek Township, Erie County, PA. She is buried between her mother and father.
