Biography

By 1851, with her parents having to temporarily leave off farming and live in Coelbren village, she has become a House Servant at what appears to be a substantial farmstead - Bronwydd. This is about three miles to the East of Nant-y-fedwen and Ton-y-fildre farms. OS grid reference SN897101.[1]

Research Notes

The parish of birth cannot be determined exactly, as the relevant census records only identify Breconshire, and it is not known which farm was occupied in 1831. But it must be unlikely that she was born away from the Coelbren area.
