Stephen Hopkins was born 19 Nov 1689 at Waterbury, New Haven, Connecticut.[1][2] He was the son of John Hopkins and Hannah Strong of Waterbury. Stephen married first in 1717, Susannah Peck, daughter of John Peck of Wallingford, Connecticut. Susannah died 2 Dec 1755. Stephen married second, 25 May 1756, Abigail Webster, widow of John Webster, of Farmington, Connecticut. He had 10 children, all with his first wife. Stephen died at Hartford, Connecticut 4 Jan 1769 at the age of 79.
