Elizabeth was born about 1755, daug of Samuel Hopkins and Joanna Ingersoll.

Elizabeth married John Sibley circa 1781

"John and Elizabeth had two sons,
  1. George Champlin Sibley (April 1, 1782 – January 31, 1863), an American explorer and educator, and
  2. Samuel Hopkins Sibley, father of Confederate General Henry Hopkins Sibley." [2]
