Biography

Oceanus Hopkins was the son of Stephen Hopkins and Elizabeth Fisher Hopkins^[1] Oceanus (Latin for ocean) was born at sea, on the Mayflower, during the voyage of the Mayflower from England to America,^[1][2] between 16 September and 11 November 1620.^[2]

Oceanus died young at Plymouth Plantation, certainly before the cattle division 22 May 1627,^[2] and probably before 1623 when his father's family was listed as consisting of six persons.^[2][1]
