Biography

Ann/Annie/Nancy was born in 1818 in North Carolina.

Her first husband was Mr. Wall, who died before 1850, probably in Haywood County, Tennessee ^[1], and her second husband was William Sparkman ^[2].

Her mother was Mary (King?) Hopkins, bc.1778 in North Carolina, who can be found living in the same household in 1860.

She was the mother of William Hill Wall, Gentry Wall, McNairy Wall, Mary H. Sparkman, Lewis M. Sparkman, and John B. Sparkman.

In the 1880 census Ann (age 60), Keeping House, was the wife of Wm. Sparkman in Justice Precinct 6, Hunt, Texas, United States.^[3]

She died in 1893. Annie was mentioned on a memorial in Sonora Cemetery, Fairlie, Hunt County, Texas, USA with a death date of 18 Feb 1893.^[4]

Research Notes

It appears that her mother is living with her in 1860, and she does not match the mother currently in this profile (Eleanor Caroline Seawright (1784-1847)). No source has been given for Eleanor. This needs reconciliation.
