In 1871 George Hopkinson (age 14, Son Farm Boy) lived in Headon cum Upton with his father John (58, Innkeeper & Farmer), mother Elizar (55), sister Marther (20), brother William (12, Son Farm Boy), and niece Lucy Ellis (2).[3]
In 1881 George Hopkinson (age 24, Farmers Son) lived in Headon With Upton with his father John (66, Farmer of 60 Acres One Laborer), mother Eliza (64), and sister Martha (28).[4]

In 1901 George Hopkinson (age 44, Farmer) lived in Headon with his sister Martha (50).[5]
In 1911 George Hopkinson (age 54, Retired Farmer) lived in Treswell, Nottinghamshire with his wife Phoebe (44) and sister Martha (60).[6]
George's wife passed away in 1932: "HOPKINSON Phoebe of Askham Nottinghamshire (wife of George Hopkinson) died 14 January 1932 Administration (with Will) Nottingham 30 August [1935] to Edward Smith Spencer solicitor. Effects £450."[7]
George Hopkinson passed away on 19 Jul 1935, aged 79 years. His death was registered in East Retford in the third quarter of the year.[8]
"HOPKINSON George of Askham Nottinghamshire died 19 July 1935 Probate Nottingham 20 August to Edward Smith Spencer solicitor. Effects £847 8s. 6d."[9]
