Curt enlisted in to the United States Army on July 23, 1942 one month before his 21st birthday during the Korean conflict in World War II. Curt was honorably discharged as a Private First Class.
After the war, Curt returned to his hometown and married Imogene Rich on January 15, 1949 in Bennington, Bryan County, Oklahoma.
Curt passed away on May 12, 1983 in Bennington, Bryan County, Oklahoma. His final resting place is at Bennington Cemetery.
