Biography
Mable was either born in Norfolk or in Chesterfield County. The family was from Chesterfield County but Mr. Horner took a job with the railroad in Norfolk, Va.
Mable married Mr. Jacobs somewhat late in life. She never had any children. I remembering visiting her as a child. We called her husband Uncle Jake.
Mabel had an adopted daughter named Mildred Campbell Jacobs, born 1912, who married James Ralph Shelton, from Raleigh, NC. His father was James L. Shelton and his mother was Miriam C. Dickerson. [1]
