Biography

"Eunice was born in 1818 and passed away in 1898.

  • Eunice Haines was born June 16, 1816 at Georgetown, near Washington D.C. At the age of 5 she with her parents, went to St. Clairsville, Ohio where they remained until she married William Haines, afterwards coming to Kansas in 1873. Eight children blessed their union, only 3 are living. She and her husband belonged to the Friends or so-called Quakers. She was a good Christian woman and loved and respected by all who knew her.
