Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.
Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.
If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.
Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

If you have not done so already, please set your preferences for your Tags Followed of interest to you to include DNA: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Following
If you are adding any DNA test info to profiles on WikiTree, please be sure to add the tests to the actual test participant's profile, and that the Privacy is set to show the participant's Family Tree tab.
We also encourage you to join our Google+ Community for DNA discussions, questions and new information: https://plus.google.com/communities/111329829039015718912
If you would like to enter information about your mother's Ancestry DNA test, on her profile, from the drop-down list under her WikiTree ID (near the top right of her profile) select 'DNA'. On the page that you see, click on the tab labeled 'DNA Tests'. On that next page you can add information about her DNA test. You should also change the privacy level for your mother from 'private' to 'private with public family tree' if you want others to be able to see her DNA test information. Please ask if you have any more questions. Kay Wilson
The central hub where we share ideas and answer questions is our G2G Forum. It is here you will find the Question of the Week: Do you use a genealogy program? You may also search for topics of interest and introduce yourself with a post about an ancestor you are researching.
There are numerous ways you may get involved at WikiTree. See the Volunteers Needed page for more information on projects you can contribute to.
Thanks for volunteering and enjoy the journey. --Rod
Welcome to WikiTree! The email we just sent has helpful links to get you started.
WikiTree is different than other genealogy websites because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we share ancestors and work together as a BIG collaborative team!
What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research youd like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree?
When you confirm your email address, youll be given an opportunity to volunteer to help document our collective family history. Use the Tags and comments to tell us about your genealogical interests.
When you volunteer, one of our Greeters will confirm your membership. Then you'll be able to add your family to the tree!
We're really glad you're here!
