Biography

Gilbert, born about 1873 in Hastings, Ontario, was the son of Aaron Horton and Jane Thrasher.

He married Eliza O'Brien on October 17, 1894, in Belleville, Ontario.^[1]

He and Eliza had a son and daughter. Eliza died in 1907.

He married Hannah, Eliza's sister in 1909, and they had a daughter of his own.

He died in Lindsay, Ontario, in 1934. At the time of his death, he was a cheese maker.^[2]

His grandson become Canadian hockey icon Tim Horton.
