Henry was born on 22 May 1862 in New Plymouth, Taranaki, New Zealand. He was the son of William Hoskin and Caroline Street.
He married Caroline Carrie (Roberts) Hoskin on 17 Feb 1892 at the Baptist Manse in Morphett Vale, South Australia. [1] They had about twelve children.
Henry passed away in 1959 aged 97 years old and was buried at the Eltham Cemetery, Eltham, South Taranaki District, Taranaki, New Zealand Plot: 211, 7 . [2]
