John Hoskins was born in about 1829 in Kentucky according to the 1880 census.[1]
On May 11, 1848, John married Martha Hadden in Marion County, Illinois.[2]
Martha died in 1863.
On August 20, 1864, John married Martha Allmon in Marion County, Illinois.[3]
It is unknown whether John divorced Martha prior to marrying Elizabeth Reed according to Elizabeth Reed's US civil war pension application.[4]
On June 21, 1868, John married Elizabeth Reed in Miller County, MIssouri.[5]
John and Elizabeth separated prior to John marrying Lucinda Fanning. It does not look like they divorced.
On August 5, 1868, John married Lucinda Fanning in Dade County, Missouri.[6] while still married to Elizabeth Reed. John's daughter with Elizabeth, Emma Hoskins, claims she was born in 1870 but I suspect she was born in 1869.
According to Elizabeth Reed's US civil war pension application, John died of consumption on March 28, 1885 in Dade County, Missouri.[7]
