Reverend John Haskins died on September 4, 1828 at Ellery, Chautauqua County, New York and is buried at the Lewis Cemetery.
After John's death, Sally moves to live with her son Samuel in Oregon. Sally dies in 1851 in Wisconsin, Dane County, Oregon, USA.
