Mary was the daughter of Stephen & Hannah (Bushnell) Hosmer

She married as her first husband, Nicholas Olmsted, son of Joseph & Elizabeth (Butler) Olmstead, on 30 Mar 1706 in CT - their children were Mary, Stephen, Isaac, Nathaniel & Abigail

Three Hosmer sisters married three Olmsted brothers in East Hartford. Mary's sister Deborah married Richard Olmsted, a brother of Nicholas. Another sister, Clemence married Nehemiah Olmsted, who is also a brother of Nicholas and Richard.

After the death of Nicholas she married John Goodwin, son of Nathaniel & Sarah (Cowles) Goodwin, about 1740 in CT
