Private Michael Hauck served with Tryon County Regiment, North Carolina Militia during the American Revolution.

Michael Houk was born 1753 in Pennsylvania. He dies in Calhoun County, Alabama. He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War; he served from North Carolina. Michael Houk was pensioned for Revolutionary service rendered while residing in Lincoln County, North Carolina.

Michael Houck was received into South Fork (ST. Pauls) Church by Rev. J. Godfrey Arndt. August 1776.

Hoots-172 and Houck-283 appear to represent the same person because: I believe these to be the same man. Birthdates/locations are similar, and wives are the same. Death dates are similar. My research indicates that this man was buried in Kentucky, not North Carolina.
