Merged in profile had death date of 1726 without any sources (Hill-11959 18:59, 18 December 2018 (UTC))
Evidence for Mary Wheeler as wife of Thomas Wilder, Jr: Mary Wheeler, not Mary Houghton, was wife of Thomas Wilder Jr.: 25 Jun 1668 given; (Mary Houghton, b. 1661, daughter of John Houghton, the emigrant) would have been 7 years old!);
Torrey: gives 25 Jun 1668 and Mary [Wheeler] as spouse;
Note: 4 children of Thomas and Mary [Wheeler] Wilder given in Lancaster VRs, p. 64-66, born 1733 to 1739 in Lancaster [too late to be of marriage of Mary Houghton, b. 1653]
Marshall McClanahan: "Follows proof that Thomas Wilder's wife was Mary Wheeler, NOT Mary Houghton., incl. Yearbook, 1898, Mass. Society Colonial Wars, pp. 141-2: "In the list of claims allowed in Dorchester, Canada, now Ashburham, Masssachusetts, was Joseph Wilder, Esq. of Lancaster in the right of his uncle, Samuel Wheeler, who served in the expedition to Canada under Major Nathaniel Wade, ibid. 498). Joseph Wilder, whose mother was Mary, eldest sister of Samuel Wheeler, made claim for the land."
Charles J Vella: 1721 estate of Mary Houghton's mother Beatrix Houghton clearly identifies John Harris as husband of Mary Houghton, daug. of John Houghton, the emigrant.
