Theophilus Howard, Lord Howard of Walden, 2nd Earl of Suffolk (13 Aug 1584 – 3 Jun 1640),[1] was probably born in August 1584 at Walden, and was definitely baptised there on 13 August 1584, the first son and heir of Thomas Howard, 1st Earl of Suffolk (of the Howard line), and his second wife, Catherine Knyvett.[1]
Sir Theophilus Howard was named in the Second Charter of Virginia made by King James I on 23 May 1609. The members of this extensive list were "incorporated by the name of The Tresorer and Companie of Adventurers and Planters of the Citty of London for the Firste Collonie in Virginia."
A contract was signed dated 17 Nov 1606 for his marriage to Elizabeth Home, 2nd daughter and co-heir of George Home, Earl of Dunbar, and his wife Elizabeth Gordon. The contract specified that the marriage should take place "within three months after the said Lady Elizabeth should accomplish the age of twelve years" but was delayed by disputes about her portion. They were eventually married in March 1611/1612, although the marriage doesn't seem to have been consummated until October/November 1612.[1]
He died at Suffolk House, Charing Cross, London, and was buried on 10 June that year in Saffron Walden.

Howard Earl of Suffolk-2 and Howard-1219 appear to represent the same person because: Husband of Elizabeth Home, same birth and death dates. Howard was LNAB.
Howard second Earl of Suffolk-1 and Howard-1219 appear to represent the same person because: Husband of Lady Elizabeth Home, same birth and death dates
Howard second Earl of Suffolk-1 and Howard Earl of Suffolk-2 appear to represent the same person because: Same birth and death dates, same wife. LNAB should be corrected to Howard as he was born while his father was still alive.
The Earl of Suffolk's LNAb should be Howard. His current last name can be Howard Earl of Suffolk. He didn't become the Earl of Suffolk until his father's death.
Theophilus Howard, 2nd Earl of Suffolk, is the son of Thomas Howard, 1st Earl of Suffolk and Catharine Knyvett, not Thomas Howard, 21st Earl of Arundel and his wife Lady Althea Talbot
Howard-7750 and Howard-7696 do not represent the same person because: They are the same person but there is a lower number profile for this person - Howard-1219
Howard-7750 and Howard-7696 appear to represent the same person because: same name, same wife, same time frame, same title, probably unmerged match to work out dates.
are duplicted - please remove one of them. Suggest that you remove https://www.wikitree.com/photo/jpg/Howard-7750 sice that image was the second image to be added.
