Katherine Howard was the daughter of John Howard and Katherine Greenberry. Her parentage is proved by an act of the Maryland Assembly in which Orlando Griffith and Katherine his wife petitioned to sell a tract of land called Howard’s Timber Neck that was to pass only to the heirs of her body and those of her sister, Rachel, by the will of her father, John Howard. Their petition stated the tract was too small to bother adding improvements and her sister Rachel's husband, Charles Ridgely was willing to buy the land.[1]
Katherine's date of death is not known. She was still alive when her husband died in 1757 and is mentioned in his will.
