The painting is not of Sir Robert Howard. It is a transposed painting of John the Fearless, 2nd Duke of Burgundy. Bourgogne-395. https://smarthistory.org/introduction-to-burgundy/

I have detached the image from this profile as it is not of Robert Howard, as you pointed out.

Since Burke's gives the location of Robert Howard's father's estate, Stoke by Nayland in Suffolk, would someone please edit the location of Robert's birth. It may be designated uncertain if necessary, but to leave the field completely blank seems unnecessary and excludes his profile from location searches. Thank you. Baggott-44

Thank you!

I am going through the Order of the Garter and I do not show Sir Robert Howard in the order. (sources- Douglas Richardson Plantagenet Ancestry and Heraldica.org). Can you let me know the source for his investiture to the Order? Thanks

Unmerged match with Howard-290: Different fathers (Robert vs John Howard) need to be resolved before we can be sure they are the same person. Both profiles are connected to wife Margaret Mowbray.
