Persis7 Howe (Archelaus6, Joseph5, Benjamin4, John3, Isaac2, John1) was born in Marlborough, Middlesex, Massachusetts on 29 Mar 1787.[1] She is the second born child and daughter of Archelaus Howe and Lucy Howe. She married in Sudbury, Middlesex, Massachusetts on 16 Mar 1807, Francis Gleason, son of John and Experience (Stow) Gleason. They had eight (known) children together, all born in Marlborough: 1) William Francis b. on 20 Feb 1808; 2) Rufus Howe b. on 30 May 1810; 3) Luther Howe b. on 31 Mar 1812; 4) Sophia b. on 18 Apr 1814; 5) John Dana b. on 3 May 1816; 6) Persis Elizabeth b. on 20 May 1818; 7) Lucy b. on 9 Sep 1820; and 8) Alden Bradford b. on 19 Oct 1823. They lived in Marlborough until his death on 12 May 1841. She died in Marlborough on 7 May 1864. She is buried with her husband in Maplewood Cemetery in Marlborough.[2]
